Chance The Rapper brought The Coloring Book 10th Anniversary Tour to Council Bluffs, Iowa on October 2nd. The show was held at Harrah’s Stir Cove and it was a night full of celebrating one of the most ambitious and influential hip-hop albums from the 2010’s.

Coloring Book was released in 2016. It helped Chance establish himself as one of the most recognizable voices in all of hip-hop at that time. The album blended gospel influences, soulful production, and vivid storytelling. This mixtape earned widespread acclaim and made history as the first streaming-exclusive album to win a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

This Anniversary Tour came with a lot of excitement upon announcement as it gave fans to revisit the project that soared Chance into the mainstream and helped define Chance's sound while celebrating how his sound has evolved over the ten years.

The set featured his biggest hits including “All We Got”, “All Night”, “Ultralight Beam”, “No Problem” and “Same Drugs”. All of these highlighted his uplifting and soulful tone in his discography. That same tone was what made Coloring Book such a landmark release.

Chance also revisited some of his most memorable collaborations, such as “Sunday Candy” and “Ultralight Beam” which was on Kanye West’s 2016 album “The Life of Pablo”. The performance extended beyond the anniversary project, incorporating newer material from his 2025 album, Star Line. Songs including “Ride,” “Tree” and “The Highs & The Lows” demonstrated the continued evolution of his sound.

By combining his familiar favorites with his newer releases, Chance created a set that celebrated his musical history without limiting the performance to just nostalgia.

The Council Bluffs stop on this tour served as a reminder of the lasting impact of Coloring Book and the unique place Chance the Rapper holds in modern hip-hop, bringing a decade of music together on one chilly night in the Midwest.
