Brenden Starr is taking the pop punk world by storm. He has just released his latest single, “The Freshmen” in February, and is already back with another single, “Dreams”.
The song is a harsh heartbreak song and Starr states, “it’s about waking up from the dream to find out that your dream was the truth, and you discover that your partner is actually being deceitful, then what’s the turnaround and make you believe that everything is okay, it’s not a problem. I still wanna be with you. I didn’t do anything wrong type thing.” This is nothing you ever want to experience, and Starr’s emotions seep through the word with every line he sings.
The song itself is a softer ballad type, not super heavy on the rock vocals. There are clearly pop punk elements, with the heavy guitars. The song is good, it is definitely one you want to scream at the top of your lungs with the windows down as you’re driving.
Starr will be performing at The Rock on the Hill Festival on Saturday, June 7. He will be joining other incredible acts in the scene, such as The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Until I Wake. The festival takes place in his hometown of Hanover, so if you are local, you are not going to want to miss this one!
