Ahead of their UK and EU tour coming this Autumn, Black Stone Cherry have released their new EP ‘Celebrate’ along with a new music video for their song ‘Deep’ on the album.
The Edmonton Kentucky quartet, signed to Mascot Records, released a visceral new 7 track EP, including their statement song ‘Deep’. Created in collaboration with Sands, the UK based charity that specialises in supporting bereaved parents who have lost their children. The song, explained by the band's guitarist Ben Wells, hits close to home as he and his wife suffer from infertility and his wife miscarried during a pregnancy during the writing process for the ‘Celebrate’ EP. He exclaimed that he felt the need to share this experience through his faith and music to help others experiencing the same thing. The rest of the band comes together perfectly to convey the emotion of the song, with Wells’ supporting band mates Chris Robertson, John Fred Young and Steve Jewell Jr. The song itself starts out with a melodic acoustic guitar and soft vocals, before kicking into a powerful chorus. The video depicts a family cherishing moments with each other before cutting to shots of a woman looking at old pictures distraught. The video mixes perfectly with the song and conveys so many mixed emotions, from hope to despair in a moment's notice.
You can watch the Music Video for ‘Deep’ here.

The 6 other songs on the album consists of title song ‘Celebrate’, ‘Neon Eyes’, ‘Caught Up Int The Up Down’, ‘I’m Fine’, the previously mentioned ‘Deep’, ‘What You’re Made Of’’ and ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’ A cover of the hit Simple Mind track featuring Tyler Connolly from the band Theory Of A Dead Man. With specific tracks like the titled ‘Celebrate’ and ‘Neon Eyes’ being the other stand out songs of the EP. Each song also has a unique sound to them, with some heavy and others more relaxed. The EP is a joy to listen to front to back and I highly advise everyone to do the same!

The band are set to take their ‘An Evening With’ UK & EU tour to the road this coming October, with a whopping 16 dates along in the UK and Ireland, and another 16 across the rest of the EU. They will play their entire first self titled album in full plus their greatest hits on the tour, and with such a stacked date list, this one is not to be missed. No matter where in the UK or Europe you are, this will be an easy tour for you to get to, but tickets are going fast so be sure to get them while you can!
