Belmont Goes to New Heights with New Single “In the Sky”

Last year, Chicago based band Belmont released their latest album, Liminal. Now, a year later, Belmont have released their new single “In The Sky”. They have also released their music video for the song, which you can watch here!

The video shows Belmont performing at a show. The video pans between the crowd and Belmont on stage. As the lyrics to the song kick in, the lyrics scroll across as the show continues on in the background. The overall video is just a fun vibe, and it makes you wish that you were at a Belmont show.

When asked about the meaning behind the song, Belmont stated, “In the chaos of life it’s easy to fall into a hole of feeling powerless, as you feed yourself to your environment and become its victim. The hard part is admitting you find comfort in the lows while neglecting the pain that comes with growth. Misery enjoys company, don’t let it become your host. Sonically, “In The Sky” strives to push the boundaries of music in a way that can’t be found anywhere else. Blending elements of progressive pop punk, metal, hip hop, ambient EDM, hardcore, and everything under the umbrella of “rock” overall - the goal was to make something that was true to us as a band while keeping things catchy and palatable to the common listener, so that it would be engrained in their memory upon the first listen”.

They certainly succeeded in this. The song is super catchy, like other Belmont songs. It fits into their discography well. This song feels like the epitome of summer; you are going to want to roll your windows down and blast this song as you take a nice spring drive. The whole song is just good vibes.

Belmont will be supporting Dance Gavin Dance on their upcoming spring tour. Check out the dates below and whether or not they will be touring a city near you!
