Transatlantic pop-rock band AS IT IS have shared their first-ever live recording collection So A-Live!, through FLG. Recorded at Marshall Studios with acclaimed vocal group Espera, the four-track EP brings a fresh live energy to songs from the band's latest self-titled album, which recently reached no. 1 on the Official UK Independent Album Chart. The release also arrives alongside a studio session video showcasing the collaboration between the two acts.

Frontman Patty Walters describes the project as a particularly meaningful moment for the band, praising Espera for the creativity and musicianship they brought to the recordings. Their additional vocal arrangements and performances add a new dimension to tracks including "I'm So Alive!", "Do You Remember?", "Live, Laugh, Love, Los Angeles" and "Marilyn". Espera's Lynsey Ward similarly reflects on the experience, highlighting the excitement of moving from writing together to performing the material live in the same room.

The EP arrives during an important new chapter for AS IT IS. Rather than attempting to completely redefine themselves, the band's self-titled fifth album represents a return to the friendship and creativity that originially brought them together. Following personal challenges, changes within the lineup and Patty Walters' decision to step away to focus on his mental health, the group eventually reunited as a four-piece with a renewed sense of purpose. Created with producer Kel Pinchin across several writing sessions, the album draws from the band's early influences while embracing more vulnerable songwriting, reflecting on their past, the relationships that survived it and the freedom of making music together simply because they wanted to.
