An Axe To Grind Against Them All

Following their top- 25 charting album “On What the Future Holds” in 2022, Jersey City’s deathcore kings “ Fit For an Autopsy” show no sign of slowing down. Members Will Putney, Patrick Sheridon, Tim Howley, and Peter Spinazola remain true to themselves regardless of their success. Their upcoming album “The Nothing That Is”, is set to drop 10/25 via Nuclear Blast Records and features tracks even more emotionally complex, darker and brutal than the past. The most recently released single “Lower Purpose” is already spreading like wildfire. They continue to be champions for the overworked and underpaid of today’s society. It’s a vicious cycle they wish they could break,  and one listen will have you feeling the same regardless of your previous opinion. When asked about the new track the band responds :

You work, you pay taxes, and you expect the people in positions of power and government to serve your needs and the needs of other citizens, when in reality they serve their own agendas. Greed, war, corruption, it’s almost impossible to free yourself from this cycle. You inevitably serve a lower purpose.”

It’s the sad truth, but that doesn’t stop the band from celebrating everything that they are (they ARE fire), and inviting us along to share it with them. The band began their US headlining tour supported by Bodysnatcher, DISTANT, Sylosis, and Judiciary  on 10/18/24 and are hitting cities all across the country.
