Aly & AJ took over The Strand Ballroom & Theater in Providence,RI on March 31, 2026. A night that perfectly balanced early 2000s nostalgia with their West Coast modern sound.
Opening the night was Hayden Blount. A native out of Savannah, Tennessee stepped on stage alone with just a guitar. His raw, country sound brought a warm southern touch to the New England crowd, creating a calming atmosphere before the headlining set.
Aly & AJ opened their set with three top singles from their 2025 album Silver Deliverer. Their signature harmonizing sound automatically caught the attention of the many longtime fans in attendance ready for a good night ahead of them. There was a clear sense of shared history in the room, as fans sang along to every word from deep cuts to the nostalgic hits like “Rush” and “Like Woah”. At the same time newer tracks “Blue Dress" and “Places to Run” held their own, seamlessly blending into the set and proving the duo’s continued growth as artists.
Dancing and singing through the night, fully embracing both past and present eras of Aly & AJ, it was the kind of show where nostalgia didn’t feel like a throwback. It felt alive. The night closed with one of their most iconic songs, “Potential Breakup Song”. Aly began alone on keys, delivering a stripped down first verse that momentarily slowed the room into a collective pause. As the full band kicked in, it was one massive singalong. Turning the final moments into one of the best highlights of the night.
Aly & AJ’s stop in Providence was a celebration of longevity, growth and the lasting connection between artists and their fans. Blending nostalgia with a fresh modern sound, the Places To Run Tour proves Aly & AJ aren’t just revisiting their past, they’re redefining it.
