A DAY TO REMEMBER Drop Riotous New Video For Top 20 Radio Hit - “All My Friends”

There are three things that are certain in this life: Death, taxes, and A Day To Remember dropping certified bangers. One of the most important bands in the history of the alternative music scene is back and better than ever. Riding the high of their most recent LP release ‘Big Ole Album Vol. 1’, the band just dropped a music video for one of their singles from that LP, ‘All My Friends’.

ADTR typically sways one of two ways instrumentally: they either double down on heaviness often jumping between the sounds of metalcore, hardcore, and sometimes easycore. With this approach comes downtuned guitars, filthy scream techniques from vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, and some of the greatest breakdowns the scene has ever heard. The alternative is a more upbeat pop punk approach and whether it’s been overly pop at some points or overly punk at other points, there is no denying that they have provided some of the biggest sing along choruses in the history of the genre. While this song does swing a little bit more in that pop direction, this time around they’ve put another spin on it giving it a subtle southern country twang to it. The undertones of it is an excellent balance of introducing it into their disposal while not going too far where it would displease some of their masses that may not like country music.

The video is loads of fun crammed into three minutes. The vibes are high in a country looking dive bar likely in the swamps of Florida, as the band is getting down with a crowd behind them jamming the new song. About halfway in, Cody from Wage War makes a cameo jamming out to the track. Just as enough time has passed and you think you get the idea, out comes WWE superstar Seth Rollins with a flamethrower. As Jeremy utters the words to burn everything down in the song, pro wrestling fans already know that Seth’s entrance music as well as part of his gimmick has the phrase ‘Burn It Down’ in it. Rollins waves his flame thrower with an evil smile and starts to burn the entire bar down with the rest of the video taking place outside of its remains. Non wrestling fans may shrug at the idea of this cameo, but to put into perspective on how high up the roster he is and the accolades he has received from the WWE, he is a multiple time world champion, the 2019 Royal Rumble winner, current Money In The Bank briefcase holder, and one of three people in the last decade to wrestle The Rock. Despite his stature and platform that he has, he has always waved the scene flag very high anywhere he goes, shouting out ‘Parkway Drive’ as his all time favorite band, occasionally seen hanging out with ‘State Champs’, and yours truly even spotted him at a ‘Wonder Years' show a few years back. The song and video is loads of fun and is a must watch and must listen for longtime fans of them.

Following this release is a much anticipated tour this fall where they’ll be hitting 36 days in North America with fellow Floridian legends ‘Yellowcard’ as main support. In addition to them are hard hitters ‘State Champs’, ‘The Wonder Years’, ‘Dinosaur Pile Up’, and ‘Boundaries’ joining on select dates. You can view tour dates listed below.
