Set It Off headlines a sold out show at Irving Plaza in New York City with support from DeathbyRomy and Crown The Empire.
New York City was one of the quickest dates to sell out on The Deathless Tour. Fans crowded the streets around Irving Plaza on a cold and rainy Saturday night. The line stretched multiple blocks as fans eagerly waited to get inside. Kicking off the evening was DeathbyRomy. DeathbyRomy is a singer/songwriter from Los Angeles, California. DeathbyRomy has been creating music since early childhood. She wrote her first song at 5 years old and began releasing music at 15 years old. DeathbyRomy fuses all aspects of rock and metal with pop and electronic influences to create her unique sound. She has cited Bring Me The Horizon as a major influence.
DeathbyRomy took the stage in pitch black as a robotic voice eerily repeated her name. Dressed in a large black cloak she opened her set with “Vicious Bliss” from her 2022 album “Entropy”. DeathbyRomy serenaded the crowd with her smooth clean vocals, later would surprise the crowd with screams. She called for the pit to open up multiple times throughout the set. The crowd was up for the task as people moshed to some crushing breakdowns. DeathbyRomy closed her set with “Day I Die” from her 2021 album “Songs For My Funeral”. DeathbyRomy is known for using her cultural background in her songwriting. She uses traditions and beliefs from her Mexican heritage as influences when writing.
