A Killer's Confession has recently announced their latest album titled "Victim 1," which is scheduled to be released on September 13 VIA under the MNRK Heavy label. Additionally, the band has shared a lyric video for their song "Filth." Keep an eye out for the release and stay tuned for updates!

Reavis expresses his fondness for "Filth," considering it a significant addition to Victim 1's storyline. He particularly enjoys the energetic vibe of the song, especially during live performances. Those who have attended AKC shows in recent months have been fortunate enough to hear it. Reavis attributes the success of the song to the contributions of the production team, Dusty Boles and Evan McKeever, who played a crucial role in bringing his vision to life. "Filth" is designed to immerse the audience in the perspective of the killer, taking them on a gripping journey through the character's eyes.

The artist unveiled details about the entire album, expressing that "Victim 1" could be their personal favorite project to date. They revealed that they took a different creative approach to writing the album, working with new producers to reshape the band's sound. Additionally, they took a break from touring for the majority of last year to focus on creating this album.

During this time, they discovered a renewed focus that allowed me to fully develop the new sound and direction I wanted to pursue. In my view, this represents the authentic sound of A Killer's Confession, marking the first true AKC album. Whenever I listen to the album, I can't help but smile, as this is a feeling I've never experienced with AKC before. The tone and atmosphere of the album are completely distinct from anything we've previously created.

"Victim 1" is AKC's fourth full-length album and marks their debut with MNRK Music Group. Reflecting on the album's dark themes, Reavis recalls, "A year ago, I was thinking, 'What if we have a character who is fed up with the world?' In his heart, he knows what's going on isn't right, so he takes action. Each song addresses a sin — either within himself or committed by another person. The character has internal conversations or confronts the victim directly. It's a reflection on how a person with the ability to address these issues might react, despite it taking a toll on their kind spirit. The character has no regrets, however."

Having previously released three influential albums as part of Mushroomhead, Reavis initially stepped away from music but was drawn back in 2016. He re-emerged as the frontman of A Killer's Confession, and the band delivered three well-received albums — "Unbroken" (2017), "The Indifference of Good Men" (2019), and "Remember" (2021). The band garnered millions of streams and collaborated with artists such as Brian "Head" Welch of Korn and Love And Death, as well as Chad Gray of Mudvayne and HELLYEAH. Alongside bassist JP Cross, guitarist James Skritch, and drummer Kegan King, they captivated audiences during their tours.

In 2022, Reavis experienced an epiphany. "I had never considered following a concept like this before," he said. "However, I decided to focus, embody the name, and truly become A Killer's Confession." He entered the studio with collaborators and producers Dusty Boles (Make Me Famous) and Evan Mckeever (Nine Shrines). Bringing his vision to life, he emerged with the 10-track album, which he describes as the musical equivalent of "falling down a YouTube rabbit hole of unsolved mysteries."

A Killer's Confession weaves a story that is both captivating and unforgettable — both lyrically and sonically. "A Killer's Confession is all of us," Reavis shares. "It's not just the band. It's the people who listen, engage, and learn from it. It's within each one of us. We have all 'killed off' something in our lives. I hope you find solace in the record. We don't have to be so divided. We are more alike than we think."
